Mobile Strategies

A number of our clients having been asking about mobile strategies.

At the beginning of the mobile browser boom, we were seeing mobile browsers (a new technology) being used about as often as IE 6 (a dying technology) is used.  In other words, we are seeing opposite ends of the browser usage Bell Curve.  But now the mobile age is well underway and our focus is fundamentally different with handheld browsers.  Rather than trying to squeeze the entire site into a handheld from the start, we are using responsive site design to scale and arrange new site designs for display on phone and tablet displays.

For our clients that need an immediate solution without a complete redesign, we've implemented mobile sites that pull content from the most heavily used areas.  Using analytics we'll determine what sections are seeing significant mobile usage and tailor the mobile version of the site using that content.

Neuro-Modulation Site Launched

We recently launched a new site for The Neuromodulation Foundation.  It’s designed as a reference for physicians interested in using Neuromodulation to reduce chronic pain.
Our efforts were focused on the backend of the site which is supported with ExpressionEngine.  When the site is fully populated it will support over a thousand entries managing related posts, bibliography and analysis documents.  http://www.neuromodfound.org

Claude Skelton Design

We recently partnered with Claude on a new site for the Johns Hopkins Brain Science Institute.  He and his team provided the beautiful design, while we rendered it into standards compliant HTML.  Using Expressionengine as the CMS to manage the site, we focused our development efforts on automation and ease of use while our technical team provided hosting and domain support.
